Every time I close my eyes - LIES, LIES!

My grade school art teacher was a liar. In fact all of my drawing and painting teachers are liars. I just have to hold an emergency meeting with all of my art education major-friends. Blue and red do not make purple. (In terms of paint) BLUE and RED do NOT make PURPLE! Light on the other hand is another spectrum. Pun intended, haha get it - - light sprectrum. To create true purple the use of white as a tint is imperative . True blue & let's say cadmium red produce a dark shade similar to midnight maroon. Added blue paint becomes too dark working it's way into brown.

Blue + Pink = Purple.

Blue + PINK = Purple!

!!! BLUE + PINK = PURPLE!!!
